My Baby Shower

My baby shower was 2 Saturdays ago but then I went for a BabyMoon to Vegas so I didn't get to talk about it. I had a great time! It was so much fun. I had more people show up than I thought were going to and Zara got so much stuff, I was so grateful! I'm about to start working on my thank you cards as soon as I find some cute ones.
I know you aren't supposed to do your own baby shower but I'm very picky about what I want! A friend offered to have it at her house which was awesome....she had just moved in meaning the walls weren't full of stuff so we had a blank canvas to work with! So my mother, grandmother and I showed up to Jamie's house the Friday before to start decorating. We had researched on Pinterest and bought a tons of balloons and pink and gray decorations. First we did the wall for behind the present table and the Candy table. My mother wanted twisted streamers and they came out beautiful, I wanted Balloons galore!
The lighting was awful but you get the gist of it.
This was the candy table, we looked forever for all the pink candies we could find, ordering them from candycarnival.com and party city.
We got the vases and dishes from Garden Ridge, they are a great investment because I plan on having lots of parties for baby Zara in the future that they will help out with!
I loved my cake! Ordered it from a lady who used to work at the cake lady. I could have done the chevron stripes better in my opinion but that just me being a perfectionist haha. I sprinkled candy diamonds around the cake and ribbon candy, thought that looked cute! All edible!
Here was the front table with a couple games, a guess how many strawberry malt balls were in the bottle, there were 207! A place to write notes on diapers for my late night changings, and the favors we gave out!
A Chapstick that was personalized with Heather's Baby Shower 9-7-13 and all different shades of pink nail polish to choose from.
I made homemade pink lemonade, broke my favorite citrus juicer doing it :( And put them in baby bottles with a lemon slice, cherry, and chevron straw. They came out adorable!
I also made pink lemonade Jell-O shots but used strawberry jello instead of watermelon so they came out red instead of pink!
My husband painted the uterus, it was supposed to be cartoony but James is a perfectionist too and of course he went very detailed on it haha, it was hilarious!
Here was my dress, I got the Jessica Simpson dress and added a pink ribbon around my waist, very comfortable!

I had such a great time with friends and family!
Everything came out like I wanted it to and I appreciate everyone who helped and came to be with me! I felt so loved!!

  1. Oh my goodness, your baby shower looks incredible. I always loved having a look at these photos and the theme was so mindful. My cousin’s baby shower was hosted by her mom at the local event space Chicago and this bash featured mixed fall and rainbow details that everyone loved a lot.
